Quarries

A small part of R.G. Huston Company, Inc. is its mining operations. Our few miners do an excellent job of providing quality stone products for our projects, other local contractors, and the general public. Huston Company has several quarries located in Cottage Grove and the surrounding area. The Gaston Quarry is a limestone quarry located on the north side of Cottage Grove by I-94 on Gaston Road. The Nora Pit is a sand pit located just south of town on Nora Road. The Skaar Pit is a sand and gravel operation located south of town at the intersection of USH 12/18 and CTH N. The Kreuger Pit is a limestone quarry located between Cottage Grove and Stoughton off of CTH N and Rinden Road just north of I-90/I-94.

Huston Company owns and operates a portable crushing plant, a smaller portable tracked crusher, a portable wash plant, and a smaller portable tracked screening plant all of which allows us to produce a wide array of products.
